Granola   

Ingredients:

1 42-oz. box old-fashioned oats
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. pecan meal
1 c. sesame seeds
1 t. salt
1 14-oz. package shredded coconut
2 c. almonds or cashews, chopped
1 c. sunflower seeds
2 c. wheat germ
1 c. oil
1 1/2 c. water
1 1/2 t. maple flavoring
1/4 c. honey

Directions:

Mix dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, mix liquid ingredients and add to the dry mixture. Spread thinly on cookie sheets and bake at 300 deg. F. for 30 minutes or until browned. Stir often. Yield: 24 cups (1/4 cup is a serving).

Calories per serving: 152; protein: 3.7 grams; carbohydrate: 16 grams; fat: 9 grams; cholesterol: 0 milligrams; fiber: 2.2 grams.
